Wow, another Honour: I was awarded the Social Sista award from FlairCreativ

I recently received a message from Lora Fisher of FlairCreativ telling me she had a surprise for me. A few hours later, I received a wonderful message stating that I was one of FlairCreativ’s Social Sista Award winners! Wow, what an honour coming from a talent like Lora!

Lora, who calls Salem, Oregon home, is an accomplished writer, editor, artist, photographer, landscape designer, creative director and is owner of FlairCreativ. I am at a loss for words (which, doesn’t happen often) and feel so honoured that she chosen me as one of the recipients of the Social Sista Awards.

As part of being a recipient of this award, I have to pass this award on to five other Social Sistas, those who share their unique, creative, authentic voices to promote a creative and supportive online community.

Honoured to be nominated for a Kreativ Blogger Award

Wow, what a fantastic way to start the day.  This morning, I stumbled around, coffee cup in hand and peered into my inbox to find a message saying that the lovely and talented Constance Wallace akalegendsofgreenisle has nominated me for the Kreativ Blogger Award!

Constance who calls Georgia home, is not only an award-winning writer and poet; but is also working on obtaining her PhD in History.   Her series Legends of Green Isle is a wonderfully crafted fantasy fiction series for young adults.  I’m at a loss for words (which, trust me doesn’t happen often) and honoured that she has nominated me for this award….I haven’t stopped smiling since! :)

As part of being nominated for this award, I have to (1):  nominate 6 others for the blog award, and (2) share 10 things that readers might not know about me.  So, here we go:

My nominations, there are so many more that should be on this list, so please don’t feel bad if you’re not included!  You’re all my favourites! :)

Happy New Year!

Wow, 2011 has been a year full of growth, creativity, challenges, gifts and acceptance. I have made some amazing friends, re-established old friendships, stepped back from unhealthy friendships and learned what matters to me the most.  I have laughed until I cried, cried until I laughed and been amazed at the inner strength of those I love.

Here’s to hoping that 2012 will bring peace, healing, growth and happiness! Happy New Year’s to all of my friends & family, I am blessed beyond words to have you in my life.

Thank You!♥

What do they gain?

I have to wonder why people find it acceptable to claim credit for another creatives’ work. Recently, I had come across a photographer friend’s work on another “photographer’s” Facebook page. Although it was slightly altered, it was definitely this friend’s … Continue reading
